News Update 26 September 2019
Jilliby Babavska continued on his winning way with a strong win off the 30 metre handicap mark over the 2150 metres at Kilmore tonight. Well driven by Glen Craven the son of Sundon made it win number nine from twenty starts and topped the $50,000 prize money mark. Out of the Yorkshire Park owned La Tonneralla and sold at the APT yearling sale by Yorkshire Park the future looks really bright. Well done to Paddy Lee for his persistence and patience with this bloke.
NEWS UPDATE: September 2019
Congratulations to Ellen Tormey on the win of Yorkshire Park bred Hancocks Hero at Mildura on Tuesday night. Confidently driven by Zac Phillips the son of Alta Christiano led all the way to win by 2.9 metres in 2.1.7. He has been very consistent of late and thoroughly deserved his win.
Great to see She Will Rock back at the trials with two impressive trial wins as she makes her way back to the race track. The Rock N Roll Heaven filly certainly shows a bit of ability and we look forward to seeing her race track return on Monday 30 September at Maryborough.
Yorkshire Park part owned mare Alta Mach is also due back at the trials shortly following a long lay off through injury. All looks good at the moment for her racetrack return.
Good to see Jilliby Babavska return to form with a great second at Melton on Saturday night in very smart time of 1.56.2 after leading the field up. Beaten by the super horse Wobelee in what was a great race we expect that he will be back in the winners circle shortly.
Not a lot happening on the breeding scene at the moment but next month we will start to see our foals hitting the ground. Ima Ritzi Lombo (Yankee Rock Star), La Tonneralla (Used to Me) & Our Narissa Franco (Tintin in America) are all due to foal in October.
Great to see the Kilmore Cup field this year really stack up with plenty of talent. Disappointing the meeting is on a Thursday night and a return to the Sunday day Kilmore Cup would be clearly better.
Yorkshire Park still has our 2YO gelding by Sportswriter out of Lombo Socialite for sale. He has just returned to the trainers for his second preparation. He is well bred and related to some very nice horse being a grandson of the great Lombo Rapida. Contact Dennis at Yorkshire Park for more details.
