News Update October 2021

A good month or so on the race track for Yorkshire Park Bred horses with Maestro winning at Geelong and Melton, Drain The Swamp winning at Kilmore and Syzate winning at Hobart.  Really pleased to see little Syzate winning with 16 year old Bronte Miller in the cart, a great win for Bob Graham who purchased her from Yorkshire Park.  Syzate is a half sister to the very well performed and Yorkshire Park bred and part owned She Will Rock.

While on She Will Rock, she finished a really good 3rd placing at Bendigo on Saturday night in the Group 3 Alabar Vic Bred Platinum which makes it two placings in Group 3 company after finished 3rd earlier in the year in the Jane Ellen.

Good to see both Jets Art and Nevs Dream back in work with Dreams are Bettor having a couple of weeks light work following a little injury issue.  Miki Diva still has a couple of months to go before we see her back in work.  John Hay in NZ reports she is doing really well and can’t wait to get her back in work.

On the breeding scene we await the arrival of our Pastor Stephen foal out of La Tonneralla which will make he or she a half to the very well performed Jilliby Babavska and also recent multiple winner Maestro.  All mares are now at stud ready to be served or waiting to foal down.  It certainly is an exciting time for everyone awaiting the safe arrival of new born foals.

Great night of racing last Saturday night at Bendigo with the Victoria Cup (Group 1), Lather Up Victoria Derby (Group 1), Pryde’s Easy Feed Victoria Oaks (Group 1), Bill Collins Trotters Sprint (Group 1), Alabar Vic Bred Platinum Home Grown 2YO Colts & Geldings and 2YO Fillies (Group 2), The Holmfield 3YO Trotters (Group 2), Popular Alm Sprint (Group 3) and finally the Alabar Vic Bred Platinum (Group 3).  You are not going to see better racing than that on one night.

That is about all for now.

Good luck and good punting.

Yorkshire Park team.
