News Update October 2014

*****News Flash – Watch The Dream makes it two from two*******

Watch The Dream made it two wins from two starts for Yorkshire Park with another impressive win over the mile at Newcastle on Friday (31st) winning by 3.2M in a slick 1.57.2.  After working to the lead out of the gate Watch The Dream went roughly and lost momentum and the lead early but regained her composure and sat in the death seat until the 400M mark where she went to the lead and finished off in 29.2.

*****Watch The Dream winning debut******

Watch The Dream made her debut for Yorkshire Park on Friday night at Newcastle with a convincing 9.8M win in a very slick 1.56.6 mile rate.  Holding the lead from barrier two Watch The Dream driven by Lauren Panella didn’t let up reeling off quick quarters and holding her opposition at bay over the mile distance.  Speaking to Shane Tritton our trainer he was really pleased with the performance although he did say she is still a bit green.  Watch The Dream will go round at Newcastle this Friday night (31/10) drawing barrier 4 in Race 7 and hopefully for Yorkshire Park can make it two from two.

This morning (13/10) our second foal arrived a filly by the great Auckland Reactor out of the NZ mare My Little Black Dress, more to follow including some pics.

Fantastic news this week for Yorkshire Park with the arrival of the first foal for the season, a filly by Falcon Seelster out of the Bettors Delight mare Vickymurphy.  Arriving on Tuesday morning 30th September 2014 she is a big filly, long legs and looks like her mum.  We have a short break before our next foal is due and we certainly look forward to My Little Black Dress foaling to Auckland Reactor in mid October.

Cavalier Christian went to the trials this morning (Sunday 2nd) at Bendigo but jumped out of his gear at the 400M mark when being positioned off the rails.  Trainer Paul Campbell will look to making some adjustments to his shoeing to try and sort out the problem over the next week or so.

Whitney H (by Changeover) has had an interruption to her racing campaign when sustaining an injury at the stables of John Hay in Ashburton NZ.  Unfortunately she will go to the paddock for six months to overcome the injury
