UPDATE:

King Tintin wins at his first start.

The Yorkshire Park bred 2 YO King Tintin (by Tin Tin In America out of Our Narissa Franco) made an impressive racetrack debut winning at Wagga on Friday 20 May.  Driven by trainer Neil Day the good looking chestnut colt recorded a time of 1.55.8 running down the leader in the final bound.  A lot to look forward too with this bloke.

News Update May 2022

Winners have been a challenge so far this year but it was great to see Maestro win at Cranbourne on Sunday night under the guidance of Chris Alford.  At just his second start back from a spell the Love You gelding circled the field in the last lap to hit the front on the turn and hang on for a nice win.

Big performance from Drain The Swamp at Menangle with a fast finishing second in the APG 4 YO Entires & Geldings Group 1 final recently in a good time of 1.51.6 beaten 3.2 metres.  That placing took his career prizemoney to over the $100K mark and they way he finished off the race would suggest that there is another good win just around the corner.

Pleasing to see Threehundredcash make her race track debut recently.  The daughter of Vickymurphy by Well Said will continue to improve with racing and we all think she will be no doubt bettor next preparation.  Classy Countess continues her consistent form with another good placing at Cranbourne on Sunday night and another win is not far away.

Great news from across the ditch in New Zealand with our Always B Mikki 3 YO filly Miki Diva making her race track debut at Ashburton recently.  In a sizzling 1.55.6 she came from back in the field to finish 5th over the mile.  A week later she headed to Rangiora and continued that promising debut with a fast finishing 3rd over 2000 metres coming from four back on the fence to just go down by a couple of metres.  She now heads to Rangiora again this Sunday (22nd) in the $18,000 final and with a good draw a promising run is expected.  It has been a long road for the filly to get to the race track thanks to the efforts of Ineka Lee & John Hay.  Purchased at the NZ Standardbred yearling sale in Christchurch in 2020 for $14,000 by Yorkshire Park the filly has come a long way but looks to have a promising future.

The breeding season will be upon us before we know it and we are already looking to the what mares we will breed this coming season to what stallions.  Plenty of study to take place over the next month or so.

That is about all for now.

Good luck and good punting.

Yorkshire Park team.
