News Update May 2021
On the racing scene it was fantastic to see Glenavril King pass the $100K mark after a sterling win at Melton earlier in the month. That makes it win number 12 for the Courage Under Fire gelding as he continues to be a model of consistency. She Will Rock and Jets Art are both knocking on the door for their next win with both placing in their last few starts and hopefully with a bit of luck will see them in the winners circle very soon. Nevs Dream has gone for a short let up while both Dreams Are Bettor (tying up)and Miki Diva (soreness in the knee) have both been sidelined for the time being.
Last week both our weanling colts arrived back home after some early education under the guidance of Leah Crane at Riverview Lodge and I’m pleased to say they have been great to do anything with so far. Our American Ideal x Masterkova Colt (Sam) and Sweet Lou x Watch The Dream colt (Ollie) are getting a little more education before both will head to the paddock.
Our mares continue to do well with La Tonneralla in foal to Pastor Stephen and Watch The Dream in foal to Vincent. Masterkova, Our Narissa Franco & Sixty Plus will all head to stud later this year so plenty of thinking to be done before September comes around. Great to see Our Narissa Franco’s first colt Crazy Shippo score win number 7 last week and now head to the final of the Regional Champions Western Group 1 Final on Wednesday night at Bathurst worth $100K.
Hopefully our next update will be about more winners for the Yorkshire Park bred and owned racing team.
