News Update:

On the racing scene Watch The Dream continues to perform well finishing 2nd and 4th in her two Victorian starts since returning from NSW.  Her next race track assignment will be on the 16th June at Kilmore over 1690 metres and despite drawing the outside of the front row we are expecting Dreamy to continue her good form.  Let’s hope that this is a winning result for Yorkshire Park.

Stylish Icon (by For A Reason) continues on her return and all reports from trainer Paul Campbell are positive as she looks to take the next step and qualify at the trials.  It has been a long road with this 2 year old filly but we are making progress and hope to see a race track debut in the very near future.

Yorkshire Park’s other 2 YO filly I Can Dream returned to the John Hay’s stable at Ashburton in New Zealand recently and will continue on her campaign to the race track in New Zealand.  The break has done Roxy really well and we look forward to her taking the next step in her racing preparation.

Great to see Go Home Jo (by Roll With Joe) qualify for the 2 year old fillies NSW Breeders Challenge final at Menangle on the 24th June, 2016 drawing barrier five in the $127,500 event.  Go Home Jo is out of the Yorkshire Park mare Ima Ritzi Lombo and is trained by Shane Tritton at Menangle.  She did a terrific job in the semi final finishing sixth after coming from a long way back in a slick 1.54.2 after drawing barrier nine.  Let’s hope that she gets a good run in transit and finishes in the placings.  On that note a big congratulations to Shane and Lauren on their recent wedding and Yorkshire Park wishes them all the best in the future.

Great to see a couple of our trainers doing well with a number of winners recently.  Paul Campbell has Miss Dreamin in terrific form after winning the MO Platinum Series heat at Melton recently followed up with a slashing second in the final.  Ima Julian also saluted for the Campbell barn at Ararat after a great drive from Paul to get the gelding home.

Graham Lyon has also been in good form not only with Watch The Dream but also with Getthenet and Chalcis who recently won the Mooroopna Trotters Cup first up from a long break.  With a number of good performers on the way back including Maybetothemax and some new additions to the stable all looks good for the Graham Lyon stable.

A big congratulations to Stuart Valentine on the recent purchase of the 2 YO trotting gelding Custodian in New Zealand who will make his way to the Amanda Turnbull and Nathan Jack stable shortly.  Not every day you make a purchase that comes out and wins the 2YO Trotting Ruby Harness Jewells race on one of the biggest days racing in New Zealand. The Harness Jewells race day is one of the biggest in New Zealand and to win such a race will no doubt one of the highlights in any ones racing life time.   If you are looking for a horse out of New Zealand or just looking for a horse full stop don’t hesitate to give Stuart a call.  Yorkshire Park has continued to work with Stuart in purchasing quality horses out of New Zealand (Watch The Dream, Whitney H and I Can Dream) and we can highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy a horse.  Contact Stuart at www.standarbredsllinone.com.au.
