News Update February / March 2022

A better month so far in the winners circle with Rocking Bugatti, Syzate & Aitutaki all winning in March with Magical saluting in January.  It has been a slower start to the year in comparison to last year but we are starting to see a number of Yorkshire Park bred or owned horses heading back to the track in recent months.

Last month Magical, who was bred and sold by Yorkshire Park unfortunately bled during a race at Globe Derby which prompted her owners to look at retiring the Angus Hall five year old with a career of 33 starts, 2 wins, 7 seconds and 3 thirds with a best time of 2.0.3 and prizemoney of $25,826.  A quick phone call to the trainer, negotiation with the owner and the result is a successful return to Yorkshire Park for the mare.  It is fantastic to have her back in our ownership and we will now look to a stud season for her later in the year.  At this stage she will most likely go to Love You or Quaker Jet.

Good to see Miki Diva progressing well in New Zealand which hopefully will see her at the trials in the next week or so.  Jets Art continues his great form while Dreams Are Bettor continues to frustrate us with her performances in Tasmania.  Hopefully the Artsplace mare can get her act together shortly.

She Will Rock has headed back to Chris Svanosio’s stables after a month spell at Yorkshire Park and we look forward to the next preparation for the Rock N Roll Heaven mare.

Our two yearlings heading to the Nutrien  yearling sale at Oaklands Junction on the 3 April are progressing well and we look forward to a successful sale.  The boys are being prepared by Dean & Blanche Poole at Rhiannon Park.

That is about all for now.

Good luck and good punting.

Yorkshire Park team.
