News Update August 2021

A good couple of weeks for the Yorkshire Park owned horses with She Will Rock putting up a gallant effort to sit in the death seat and finish third in the Group 3 Jane Ellen at Melton on Saturday night.  The Rock n Roll Heaven mare looks in terrific shape at the moment and performances like Saturday night against class mares hopefully sets her up for more success.

Jets Art continued his consistency with a solid third at Bendigo after coming from the rear of the field.  From his eleven starts this preparation he has had three wins, three seconds, three thirds and two fourths.  The big fella just keeps on improving and more wins are definitely in store for the Major In Art gelding.

Dreams Are Bettor made her race track debut for Adrian Duggan in Hobart on Sunday night and finished a really good third placing beaten only by four metres in 2.0.5.  The Artspeak filly has taken a bit of time to get to the track but she looks as though she will improve fitness wise out of that run so hopefully a win might be just around the corner.

Our two year old Nevs Dream has been at the trials over the last couple of weeks and looks about ready to resume her racing career.  Still learning the Sportswriter filly has trialled really well so hopefully a start very soon will see her greeting the judge just around the corner.

On the breeding scene Neishars Jet (part owned by Yorkshire Park) will head to stud again this year to the very good stallion Rock N Roll Heaven.   Neishars Jet is due to foal to Vincent this season.

Great to see so many good junior drivers coming through the ranks and plying their trade in a really positive manner. The sport  is in good hands with a good young group of trainers doing their thing as well.

A special mention to Adam Hamilton for his contribution to the sport of harness racing as he announced his departure from the TAB and Sky.  His contribution to our sport has been nothing short of sensational.  Good luck to Adam in whatever he takes on next , hopefully we haven’t lost him to harness racing.

It certainly has been challenging times of late but we hope you all stay safe and well and we look forward to sharing many more winners.

Good luck and good punting.

Yorkshire Park team.
